shmu FM is launching an exciting new radio training initiative for 16-19 year olds. This opportunity is open to those not employment, education, or training and live in Cummings Park, Middlefield, Northfield, Seaton, Tillydrone or Woodside. This programme will run 3 days per week from March to May 2008.
The chosen participants will learn all the skills needed to produce, present and broadcast a live weekly radio show on shmu FM. This is an excellent chance to discover new communication, journalism and technical talents in radio.
If you are interested or know someone who might be, contact Lisa on 01224 515013 or 487174 or email lisa@shmu.org.uk .
This initiative is supported by the MCMC Challenge Fund.
Deadline: 15 th February 2008
Free Software:
shmuFM.net uses the MP3 file
format for both 'on-demand' and live web-casts, (made possible for now thanks
to the great folk down at the Community Media Association).
These files and 'streams' should play automatically
through many standard media players, on all computer
types. However, we highly recommend that you use the
superb WinAmp package which we are pleased to offer, via our freinds in Holland, DFM. This is the best
version and can be downloaded for free from the icons below.

Just go to 'Download Page' from the bottom of the DFM front panel and after downloading and installing the player we advise
you to then scour the preferences (right click on the
top section of the player then options>preferences)
and turn off the automated upgrade feature bottom
right to avoid any irritating pop-up messages at all. Enjoy!! |
