Popular show celebrates 1st birthday

Life Through A Ruby Tinted Lens is one-year old this week

Popular retro chart show, Life Through A Ruby Tinted Lens celebrates a year on-air this week. The show's focus is the Top 40 from 40 years ago, and includes the top chart tracks, new entries and big climbers from this week back then, plus presenter Nick Bruce takes a look back at the newsworthy events (in sport, politics, TV and movies) from the time.

Nick has been a shmu volunteer since 2010, when he was involved in the community show for Torry, and now presents Packed Lunch as well as Life Through A Ruby Tinted Lens.

Nick said he wanted to present a 70s chart show "for people who are not as young as they used to be - and who maybe look a little older than they feel - but who definitely still appreciate good music!"

"When I was young, I'd listen to the radio playing all my favourite songs. When they played, I'd sing along and it made me smile. I hope listeners to the show sing along and smile again to the Top 40 sounds of 40 years ago."

Life Through A Ruby Lens broadcasts on Saturdays at 8pm.
