Success for Torry's Vision writer

Harbour Board to respond to article

In the latest edition of Torry’s Vision, editorial member Paul McDonald wrote his first ever article, voicing his concerns about the impact that the Nigg Bay Harbour expansion plans might have upon his community.

In the piece, Paul raises more than a few salient points about the plans and asks important questions about how the venture will affect Torry and its residents.

Since the magazine was published, Aberdeen Harbour Board have contacted shmu and congratulated Paul on writing a great and informative piece. They said Paul's article was fair and felt that the points that he made were accurate. Paul’s work has highlighted a number of issues to the Harbour Board and how it would be beneficial to everyone to keep the Torry community informed and make them feel more involved in their plans. They also told shmu that they really enjoy receiving the Torry’s Vision and find our publication very useful and informative.

A letter from Aberdeen Harbour Board, written as a response to Paul's article will be featured in the next edition of Torry’s Vision. Well done Paul, from all the shmu team!
