Band of the Week: Will Leatherbarrow
This week's featured artist on shmuFM is local singer-songwriter Will Leatherbarrow! You can hear him live on the Band of the Week Show on Monday the 5th of May from 8-10pm.
Will Leatherbarrow is a 21-year-old singer-songwriter who has been playing guitar since he was 9. Leatherbarrow comes from a very musical family – he started writing music at 13. He first started playing shows in Aberdeen whilst at college, at the age of 17.
He’s self-released 3 albums - all home recorded with only the second one having physical copies. His main influences include Bon Iver, Elliott Smith, Damien Rice, Frightened Rabbit and Mumford and Sons. He’s hoping to record in a studio later this year, for an EP or maybe even an album – with a small tour of Scotland also perhaps on the cards!
