shmuFM Band of the Week: The Joliet
Appearing on shmuFM as the Band of the Week this week is The Joliet, a four-piece Aberdeen-based bluesy folky band.
They sing songs of life, love, hope and loss - although the odd tune about drunken casino experiences and identity/patter theft have slipped through onto their set list.
They’re currently recording their debut album Poets and Fools, and are aiming for an early 2014 release. They’ve played in Glasgow, Edinburgh and are playing Downstairs on the 23rd of November with the Limits. You can hear 4 of the tracks from their upcoming album exclusively this week on shmuFM.
