Youth Media Team and Book Week

Scottish Book week is a week where you go to libraries and schools and there are books being sold. It is a time to read books and find out about new books and illustrators. Illustrators come to schools to tell them stories and tell them about how they get their inspiration for their books and poems.

Interstellar competition winner

shmuFM teamed up with Warner Brothers and Vue Cinemas to run a giveaway for the movie Interstellar.

Our lucky winner, Carol McLean, sent in pictures of her posing with her winnings which included clothing, accessories, gadgets and two tickets to see the film.

Aberdeen’s hip hop and rap community will be given a boost this week as Woodside-based charity shmu launches its Rap Music Project.

Spoken Word Shows now online

"Last year we recorded spoken word pieces, ranging from poems, to short stories, to not-so-short-stories", and between the 18th of October and the 15th of November 2014, a dedicated one-hour Spoken Word Show was broadcast on shmuFM each Saturday at 6pm.
