This week on shmuFM, we've got Dear John as our Band of the Week - you can hear them live on the Band Of The Week Show on Monday the 1st of September from 8-10pm, where they'll be chatting about everything Dear John.

Do you dream of becoming a DJ and making your way in the world of radio? Or how about creating content for magazines or designing the magazines?  What about learning about music and recording studios? How about becoming a filmmaker and learning all about camera work, angles and editing?

The Youth Media Project from Station House Media Unit (shmu) has gained a funding boost of almost £50,000 from the Big Lottery young start fund. The project, due to begin in late July will provide creative opportunities for young people aged 12-19 to learn about all aspects of the production of regular live radio and TV broadcasts.
