shmu presenter in Queen’s Baton honour

The Queen’s Baton arrived in Aberdeen on Monday and was toured around various locations in the city, with specially selected individuals who were allowed to carry the baton on each leg of its journey.  Our volunteer news team at shmu headed up to Northfield to catch one of our very own shmuFM presenters, Jacqui Innes proudly take up the baton.

Adjust update July 2014

As a result of a serious recent episode of unrest at the new HMP & YOI Grampian, all of the young offenders and a majority of the adult mail prisoners have been dispersed to other Prisons throughput Scotland until Grampian is ready again for their return later in the year.

Free youth radio workshops this summer

We're running our highly successful Youth Radio Summer School during the holidays again this year, which offers free radio training for young people who live or attend school in the regeneration areas of the city.

June is the busiest month for shmuTV

Our brilliant team at shmu TV have been up to their eyebrows doing fantastic work with the Rights Respecting Schools pupil group, part of an initiative by UNICEF.  With the support and guidance from teachers at Riverbank primary in Tillydrone, the pupils have been challenged to make a video about the school’s many achievements, providing a visual evaluation for their project.
