International Concert at Inchgarth Community Centre

On Friday the 25th of July, our Youth Media Team went to a cultural performance at Garthdee in Aberdeen for the International Concert. The performances included countries that came from different continents and corners of the world.

Daniel Mutch on the YRP Show

shmuFM's Youth Radio Project interviewed brilliant local musician Daniel Mutch on Monday the 28th's YRP show, following Daniel's performance at the Lemon Tree's Freshly Squeezed event as part of the Aberdeen International Youth Festival.

Whilst on the show, Daniel debuted one of his new, original tracks, entitled Cullen Sands.

Dancers dazzle at Four Seasons show

On Sunday 20th July, our Youth Media Team went to see a magical performance by young people from the North-East at Aberdeen Arts Centre and Theatre (ACT Aberdeen) called 'Four Seasons'.  The performance showed showed great class and very young talented dancers.

Youth Media cover city's Youth Festival

shmu's Youth Media Team have landed the prestigious role of Official Festival Reporters for Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF) again this year!

Our team of young reporters, aged 11 to 18, will once again produce regular reports on all the goings-on at this internationally-renowned Youth Festival, which is one of the world's biggest celebrations of youth arts.

shmu presenter in Queen’s Baton honour

The Queen’s Baton arrived in Aberdeen on Monday and was toured around various locations in the city, with specially selected individuals who were allowed to carry the baton on each leg of its journey.  Our volunteer news team at shmu headed up to Northfield to catch one of our very own shmuFM presenters, Jacqui Innes proudly take up the baton.
