Tilly Tattle hot off the press

Residents of Tillydrone should be keeping an eye on their letterboxes, as the new shiny Spring edition of Tilly Tattle is being delivered very soon. In this issue, our front cover has a delivery of its own, telling the astonishing story of how a baby was born in the Tillydrone Community Flat and a member of staff helped to deliver it.

From radio to art....

One of shmu’s Youth Radio Project (YRP) team, Emily Howie has turned her hand to painting, as well as producing and presenting YRP shows. Emily is 14 and has been working with shmu since August last year.

New 80s show joins weekend line-up

A new show for fans of 80s music – Ultimate 80s – launches on shmuFM at 7pm on Saturday 18th January, with popular Breakfast show presenter Dave Ironside at the helm.

The shmuFM Band of the Week Show enjoyed flourishing success throughout 2013, with its 125th show being broadcast on the 16th of December.

Seaton Speaks returns to Fridays

shmuFM's Seaton community show, Seaton Speaks, makes a welcome return to a regular Friday slot beginning on 17th January.  The show, hosted by people living and working in Seaton, will now broadcast live from 10-11am every Friday morning.  The show will be repeated from 7-8pm every Friday night.

Adjust Update: January 2014

Adjust is currently working with 37 individuals: 16 who have been released and are in the community and 20 who are still in prison. One has sadly passed away.

ATUC make donation to Youth Radio team

Brian Carroll, Interim Secretary of Aberdeen Trades Union Council, popped in to meet members of shmuFM's Youth Radio Project (YRP) on Tuesday evening to thank the team of young broadcasters for their coverage of the St. Andrew's Day march and rally in November.
