Aged 16-19? Passionate about film? Want to work in the film industry?
Building on the success of the last four years, Station House Media Unit (shmu) is once again working in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI), North East Scotland College and the Belmont Fimhouse to deliver Aberdeen's fourth BFI Film Academy course - and recruitment is now open.
This prestigious course is targeted at young people (aged between 16-19) who have a passion for film-making and are interested in developing the skills that will help them work towards a career in the industry.

The course, made possible with an investment of just under PS16,000 from the BFI, will run weekly from October 2017 until January 2018. The course will include Masterclasses from a range of industry professionals and the young people will produce two short films; from pitching ideas and writing the script, to shooting and editing the film. The project will culminate with a screening of the films at the Belmont Filmhouse.

The deadline for applying for the course is Friday 31st August 2017.
