Sports show on the move

shmuFM's sports show, Oddballs, moves to a new earlier time slot beginning today.  The show, hosted by Stevie Kearney, will now broadcast from 2-3pm every Friday.

Tune in to today's Oddballs show for the usual mix of local and national sports coverage, including the latest from the Rugby League World Cup and the launch of Aberdeen Youth Games.

On Thursday the 7th of November, DJ Kojo interviewed American hip hop artist, songwriter and producer J. Cole on his show Urban Swag – which airs every Thursday from 8-10pm.

YRP visit the BBC MediaCity

On 4th and  5th October shmu travelled to Manchester with 11 of our Youth Radio Project (YRP) members to take part in a National Community Radio Conference.

Expert presenter for new gardening show

A new show for the city’s gardeners – Growth Matters – launches on shmuFM at 1pm on Tuesday 15th October, with Cruickshank Botanic Garden Curator Mark Paterson at the helm.

YRP trainees go live on shmuFM

The shmu Youth Radio Project (YRP) has enjoyed yet another successful summer of training. The YRP team worked with 13 young people over the course of the summer holidays with a variety of digital media and mini projects to keep them entertained whilst learning about how to conduct interviews, research content for shows and many other aspects of radio and video production.
