Eddie Mac is latest shmuSOUND success

Look out for the name Eddie Mac in the future, as shmuSOUND's latest graduate is aiming for pop success with his first two tracks.

Recorded at our studio in Tillydrone, the tracks were written by Eddie Mac - known to his mother as Edward Mcnelis - and produced by our sound engineer Iain, with the help of our music tutors Simon and Shawn.

shmuSOUND Play to Premiere on shmuFM

shmuFM is to air its first locally-produced radio play this week as part of a move to promote spoken word broadcasting in the city. Recorded at the shmuSOUND Studio in Tillydrone, the play is titled ‘Black Ice’ and involves local actors who all auditioned for the parts several months ago. The first airing of the play on radio will be this Friday (July 12^th) from 7-8pm on 99.8FM.

Star Awards

shmuTV were asked to produce short films to be screened at the Star Awards ceremony. Staff from Aberdeen City Council were treated to a lavish awards ceremony to celebrate and recognise staff achievement. Employees of the council were celebrated across all departments and the night was a huge success for all.

shmuTV visits Dublin

This year shmuTV visited Dublin to take part in a European exchange programme. Community broadcasters from across Europe met to discuss current practice and how to share content. shmuTV are also presently working on a bid for the local community TV license which will be up for grabs in the NE of Scotland this year.

Keith is a smash on Centre Court

Torry's Keith Meisner - aka The Exile of Elgin - never imagined that one week after recording a new track with the shmuSOUND team, he would be doing TV appearances in London and playing live at Wimbledon.
