Western Arts University Ambassadors (USA)

My favourite show from this year's Aberdeen International Youth Festival (AIYF) was the Western Arts University Ambassadors (USA). The story was called "Blazing Tides" and it was about the struggles and conflicts between the elements of fire and water. The story was influenced by a range of stories and films such as Romeo and Juliet and The Last Airbender.

It has finally come to an end of AIYF 2015! AIYF finished on the 1st of August at the 'HMT' with spectacular performances; we are sad to see all performers gone and were all glad seeing our bright performers and their performances this year. We went to see variety of events and big applause for all the performers at the AIYF, Aberdeen is proud that you brought smiles to our faces.

AIYF performance ‘The Taming of The Shrew’

We would like to present the Mitchell School of Drama's performance of Taming of the Shrew as part of this year's AIYF. Shakespeare's classic tale of two wealthy sisters was transported into a comedy set in 1960s.

The play was held at 'The Lemon Tree' on 23rd of July at 7pm. It was a pre-festival show and our Youth Media Team were there to cover it.
