A welcome voice returns

We’d like to wish a warm welcome to Andrew Gibbons who has taken up the hot seat, alongside our longstanding presenter, Elsie Rennie. We’re delighted to have Elsie back on air after a short break during the winter months.

Collective Compositions artists play Uni

Participants from shmuSOUND’S Collective Compositions course will be performing at the MacRobert Building of the University of Aberdeen, promising an interesting night of music from around the world. The project, funded by Creative Scotland, aims to promote the music and culture of the city's minority ethnic communities.

BFI Film Academy in Aberdeen

Station House Media Unit [shmu] has been awarded £16,000 to deliver training and inspire the next generation of local film making talent. Station House has been making films in the North East of Scotland for 20 years and this year will deliver the prestigious BFI Film Academy.

A sad farewell

Wednesday the 14th of January is a sad day for shmuFM as we wave goodbye to one of our longstanding presenters, Neil Gibbons. 

Neil has been helping the people of Aberdeen wake up and get going by presenting the Breakfast Show on a Tuesday and a Wednesday morning between 7 and 9am for the last 3 years.
