Amplify: Young Music Makers

A new music project at shmu - Apply now!
We have a fantastic new music project here at shmu!

The Amplify Young Music Makers Project is for anyone in P7 to S3 living in Aberdeen's Priority neighbourhoods who has an interest in music.

Supported by a mix of music tutors and Youth Work staff, the free project is aimed at young people interested in exploring, creating and playing music.
The project will bring a group of young people together to explore beats, drums, voice, recording and performance - although we may use other instruments along the way! The sessions also aim to develop confidence, social interaction and interpersonal skills.

Where: shmu HQ
When: Tuesday 12th May 2026, 5pm-6.30pm (runs for 8 weeks)
See here https://bit.ly/YoungMusicMakers2026 for more details and how to apply.
PLEASE NOTE: The project is currently only open to young people living in Aberdeen's priority neighbourhoods (Woodside, Tillydrone, Middlefield, Northfield, Torry, Cummings Park, Mastrick and Seaton)
Closing date for applications: 10am Tuesday 5th May 2026
