Last call for spoken word recordings

As many of you will have seen on the website, we recently launched a ground-breaking new free spoken word project.
We have been using our state-of-the-art recording facilities at the Tilly Youth Project to record a series of original 5-minute pieces, including poetry, drama and comedy.
Places are limited though and there are now only a few spaces left, so if you'd like to take part, now is the time to get in touch. You can do anything (within reason) that could be termed spoken word and each piece should be no more than 5 minutes long. We'll record them, mix and master, then play them out live on shmuFM.
All pieces must be original (ie free from copyright restrictions) and we'll make sure you get your own copy too. You don't have to stop at one though - we've got the time to record up to four pieces with you, if you so wish.
As a bit of a coup, we recently had highly-regarded local poet John Mackie come to the studio to record a few new pieces, which you can listen to on the links below - hopefully these will inspire you to take part!
To book some studio time or for more information, email sound@shmu.org.uk - we're looking to finish this work by February the 20th, so do hurry if you're keen.
