Positive Transitions Update

We have productive updates from Positive Transitions and how their work has been paying off with good news and incredible results as they have been hearing back from employers.

Liam who is part of the team on the PT+ course has taken part in a work placement offered by Robertson Construction in Inverurie. As a result of his hard work and dedication, he has been offered a job from the company and has secured a role as one of their sub-contractors. The job offers a permanent role at the new TECA, which is set to replace the existing AECC in mid-2019.

Thomas, another member who was on PT 38 has also managed to successfully secure a job with Davidsons Painting and Decorating Services. Amy who took part in PT 39 has already started her new employment at the brand-new Matalan store in Berryden. Daniella another member of our PT course has landed herself a role with Stompers Childcare Services and is looking forward to starting her new job in June 2019.

Ben from PT 38 completed a work placement at Aberdeen Countryside Ranger Services this year, where he shadowed Stephen Bly (Aberdeen city Council Community Engagement Officer) in his role. Ben was praised on all his hard work, positive attitude and determination to take on all tasks thrown at him and completing all his jobs to a high standard.

The rest of the group have been receiving job offers and working hard on their upcoming interviews. The trainees have been able to extend their knowledge on existing understandings and have been given the opportunity to learn. Our trainees have made a huge success of this opportunity and should be proud of their outstanding achievements.
